Regionals in Tuscany, Salvini in Florence: "I'm interested in there being a candidate soon"

Florence, May 30, 2025 – The choice of the center-right candidate for the presidency of the Tuscany Region "is of interest to me to be done quickly. And not only in Tuscany , but also in all the other Regions that are going to vote: Puglia, Campania, Veneto . In the Marche there is the outgoing candidate of Fratelli d'Italia and, obviously, even there a team that has governed well does not change".

This is what the federal secretary of the League, Matteo Salvini , declared in Florence, during a press conference together with the MEP and his deputy secretary, Roberto Vannacci . Speaking of the upcoming regional elections, the deputy prime minister adds: "In all the other regions we have women and men that we offer to the coalition who are able to compete to win, and not to participate - he warns - the important thing is to do it quickly, I am sure that we will meet soon".

As for the possible date of the vote, Salvini takes note of the situation also in the centre-left: "You know that there are some frictions within the PD and on the third mandate - he underlines - the League is ready, so when you want, you vote and we are also ready tomorrow to present the lists of candidates: obviously there is a coalition, but also a Parliament and governors of the PD and we will all have to agree".

For the regional elections, Salvini says, "I think we will vote in the fall, and we are preparing with the strongest possible Lega lists. We will know soon, because there is still friction in the PD and on the third mandate. The Lega is ready. Ready to keep the center-right united everywhere, with the best people".
